The Centre for Research in Lifelong Learning (CRLL) has established an international reputation for working at the research, policy and practice interfaces. It is already recognized as a successful research centre attracting significant external funding to pursue innovative research. The outputs from our research help to develop and test theories, concepts and schemas of lifelong learning and inform policies, provision and practices in the field.
The role of CRLL in supporting transformational change within Glasgow Caledonian University has also grown substantially. The Centre makes a significant contribution to GCU’s strategic priority areas, including the development and delivery of an institution-wide strategy for widening participation intended to strengthen the university’s position as a leading institution in this field both nationally and internationally.
