To advance its distinctive role in working at the interface between research and policy CRLL has established strong links with the policy and practice communities. A core part of our work is through various forms of engagement with internal and external partners.
Much of our work has been policy focused and has contributed to changes in policy, particularly within Scotland. Projects have been funded by a wide range of a agencies including the Scottish Executive (now Scottish Government), ESRC, SQA, QAA, HMIe, HEA, SFC, HEFCE, Universities UK, DfES (now DIUS), European Commission, Nuffield Foundation, Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA), Council for Industry and Higher Education (CIHE).
In addition to CRLL’s distinctive status as a joint research centre across two separate universities, we have forged a series of international linkages through our research and development activities. We currently work in various forms of collaboration with researchers across the board.
